Atlanta PRIDE 2006 was again a collaboration between the NCR and AT&T LEAGUE organizations. We sold sport packs for $5 and the money was being used to support the League Foundation scholarship fund. We also had available Janet Bhatti's educational CD's which were initially created as a course book for educating NCR employees about LGBT issues but have since become standard fare for anyone who wants to use them as a excellent teaching tool. The "safe space" magnets were also available and when displayed near your work environment, indicate that any kind of intolerance will not be tolerated and that other LGBT employees can feel safe around you.

As you can see by the pictures below, the storm clouds held to their promise on Sunday afternoon and drenched everyone and everything. As a result, the city ended the Pride festivities early so the entertainment planned for Sunday evening was cancelled and the booths were asked to close up shop early. Despite the wet weather we've all become accustomed to every Pride (SEE: Atlanta weather in June) everyone had a really good time, we managed to make a few new friends, visit with old friends, and share our message with the LGBT and straight community.
